Kaden Dayton
Vocal Coach and Owner of KD Vocal Studio
Kaden Dayton is a passionate vocal coach based in Atlanta, GA, offering professional singing lessons both in-person and internationally via Skype. He believes in the power of helping others discover their unique voices through techniques that make the voice function at its best so his clients can sing whatever they’d like and however they’d like. Kaden is also a professional singer and performer himself which gives him hands on knowledge that he uses to assist in every lesson he teaches
The saying “those who can’t do it, teach it” couldn’t be further from the truth with Kaden; with years of practical experience in the entertainment world, Kaden’s professional credits include singing, acting, and dancing for Disney+’s “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” (Seasons 1, 2, and 4), participating in Disney recording sessions, and performing in “Kalyna: The Musical” at the Eccles Theater. He has coached and prepared singers for Broadway shows and has had the privilege of collaborating with talented artists such as Olivia Rodrigo, Joshua Bassett, Andrew Barth Feldman, Kate Reinders, and Julia Lester. These experiences have provided him with invaluable insights into the nuances of vocal technique and performance, allowing him to effectively guide his students in applying their skills in the competitive industry.
As a Certified Instructor with the Institute for Vocal Advancement (IVA), an international organization dedicated to elevating the education and integrity of voice teachers worldwide (vocaladvancement.com), Kaden has studied under some of the industry's most respected coaches, many of whom have collaborated with vocal legends like Seth Riggs. He focuses on both Speech Level Singing (SLS) and bel canto techniques, mastering the art of balancing the voice across its entire range and through various vocal passages. Kaden is passionate about empowering his students with the keys to enhance their technique and confidence swiftly.
Kaylee Wheeler
Associate Coach For KD Vocal Studio
Kaylee took her first voice lesson in 2012 and decided to make singing a big part of her life. Through the years, she has performed in many musical theater productions, audition choirs, and solo performances. In 2020 she applied to become a voice teacher for the Institute for Vocal Advancement. She was accepted and is now a certified level-two voice instructor. Kaylee continues to train and grow her skills and abilities for her students and loves teaching others to find their voice.
She specializes in Musical Theatre with over 12 years of theater training and experience. She helps students find songs and prepare for their auditions, by coaching them through their audition songs, unlocking their voice, and developing their acting.
In her 12 years, Kaylee has been in many Musicals. Some of her favorite roles are Peggy Sawyer in 42nd Street, Ellie Blake in Freaky Friday, Florence in Bright Star, and the Swing for all 5 Carols in Five Carols for Christmas.
While she specializes in Musical Theatre, she also has the ability to train her students in multiple styles: Pop, Jazz, Country, and more.
Kaylee loves her job. She loves helping others find the voice of their dreams, so they can unlock their ability to be incredible singers with proper technique and confidence. Some of her students have made their school audition choirs, been offered solo parts for choir concerts, sung the star-spangled banner, and made their audition-based school plays. She believes that “Everyone Deserves a Voice.”
